What makes Tigger so mean?

This is my mean kitty, Tigger. This picture was taken shortly before he bit me for making him wear jingle bells. He has calmed down slightly in the past few years but he's still a mean kitty at heart. He was banned from being boarded at the vet, as the majority of the staff feared for their lives. I have plenty of scars, aka tokens of his affection, to remind me of him for the rest of my life.
