What makes Tibby so mean?

This is my 2-year-old kitty, Tiburon (meaning "shark" - see, she was mean at birth!).  She is pictured here with her boyfriend, the Abominable Snowman.

Tibby has adopted a lot of her boyfriend's bad habits; notice the ferocious teeth! Isn't this an intimidating couple?! I'd hate to run into them in a dark alley...
