Stevie Ray was a feral kitten and it was a major accomplishment to win her confidence. She is not exactly a mean kitty, just a very private kitty. She will protect herself if she feels threatened, but can be quite loving and demonstrative when hungry. She treats every meal as though it may be her last. 

She is a ruthless hunter and is quite annoyed that I have added a bell to her collar to protect unsuspecting smaller creatures. This picture was a quiet, non-jingly moment snapped as she was taking a snooze in the compost bin. You can tell by the look on her face that she wasn't too enthused with being woken from a nap to have her picture taken. "The things I must endure for a good meal..."
