What makes Sputnik so mean?

My cat Sputnik gets very very upset if you aren't paying attention to him. He also happens to have a very well developed sense of how to piss me off. He tends to do things like systematically pull every push-pin out of the wall, or pick up my pens, one by one, and drop them behind the desk. He knows what the "off" button on my computer does. His newest trick is jumping up and turning the bathroom light switch to off when I am showering so that I am plunged in to darkness. 

I consider myself lucky when he settles for merely biting my fingers, toes and earlobes (and the occasional swipe at my eyes), but if anyone catches him biting me, he stops and pretends to be simply licking me. Sputnik is clearly a mean kitty, and he is unnaturally good at finding new ways to bother me.
