What makes Spooks so mean?

We recently acquired a new bundle of joy, Spooks, who I've started referring to as the Devil's Spawn.  Nothing is sacred.  My house has been torn to shreds and I swear she never sleeps.  I have not slept an entire night without her starting a fight on the bed.  It's amazing how deceivingly cute they are when terror is lurking behind those eyes!
