What makes Slick so mean?

We have a mean kitty we'd like to submit, but this is the closest we can get to capturing him on film. His name is Slick (our neighbor's kitty), and he's so fickle.

When his mom's around, he's Mr. Friendly. When she's not, he hisses at us and might as well give us a razzberry. Even though he seems to detest us, he's sort of claimed our house as his own and keeps all other cats at bay. Ah, Slick.
