What makes Slash so mean?
Slash was
declawed on all four feet while young because she disembowel our
ferrets. She has been with us for over 16 yrs. She
likes to be petted, but only on the head, and has been diagnosed
(seriously) with sensory overload, as she suddenly hisses &
growls when petted for 'too long', and has been known to bite if
you don't pay attention. She does NOT like to sit in your lap
but will curl up next to you, as long as you pay only minimal
attention. She believes it is necessary for me or my
beloved to get up at 6:30 a.m. to feed her canned food &
vitamins. This is expressed by standing next to my ear and
'prrowwing' loudly and continuously until movement is detected.
Even in her advanced years, she has convinced 2 younger cats
that she is off-limits for harassment.
