What makes Sherpa so mean?

This is my cat Sherpa. He hisses at my girlfriend Heather when she tries to touch him, he bites when touched by anyone, and he scratches anything in his way. He likes to pull up the corners of my carpet and pull out the threads. He splashes out the water in his water dish and plays in it then tracks water all over the house. He is a mean kitty.
