This strange position is called the 'full shad'. My wife and I
spent nearly a year with a camera out trying to capture this.
Shadwell beats up the other three cats we have, eats their food (sooo
quickly we have to feed them separately), and he once arrived home
with a parcel label attached to him saying, "This cat turns
up at my home and eats all my cat's food, can you call me to
discuss?" We rang and apologised, explaining that he eats
everything is loved dearly and we're not neglecting him.
His other favourite activities include: destroying a £500
carpet in one afternoon when we were out, getting into bed in the
middle of the winter and quickly putting all four freezing paws
onto an unsuspecting but warm 'owner' , yowling at extreme volume
first thing in the morning for food, and most famously, dragging a
fully cooked chicken off my neighbour's dinner table all the way
