What makes PossumKitty so mean?PossumKitty might not be the prettiest thing to look at, but she is very devoted. Every night she comes to the house after playing in the woods all day for her delicious food. Boy, does she love her food! She wandered in as a stray many moons ago and we have been feeding and loving her ever since. She likes to sleep in the garbage can. But PossumKitty is mean because she will not let any of us pet her. Even though we feed and house her, she doesn't seem to want any lovin'. She will hiss and bare her odd needle-like teeth if any of us get very close to her, even when we are careful to offer a tempting bit of cheese or tuna. I mean, cats like cheese and tuna, right? And too, she stays gone all day long. Where does she go? It is very worrisome when your beloved pet disappears all day long and only shows up at night. We really would like to give her a flea bath and get a ID tag on her, but alas, she still has a bit of the wildness to her and will not allow anyone to get that close. An ID tag is an important thing so that if your pet is lost she can be found again. Photo
