What makes Poppy so mean?
Poppy was a stray found on the side of the road seven years ago -
on Father's Day, hence the name. When she was brought home she
was initially blind in one eye (infection) and deaf (mites).
Fortunately she healed and is now a perfectly healthy mean
kitty.
She enjoys hopping onto the top of the couch, rubbing her head
against yours, and sometimes trying to eat your hair. She loves
hiding behind objects such as tables, chairs, and couches so
when you walk by she will jump out at you, scaring you to death.
Poppy also likes to wait at the bottom of the stairs, where she
lets you walk up first, then as you are halfway up the stairway
she runs after you, attacking your ankles. One of these days
she's going to cause a serious accident.
While Poppy is getting pampered, she will sometimes let her claws
out and rake your skin. Another game Poppy likes to play while
she's getting pampered goes like this: pet me until I get tired
of you then I grab onto your arm with my teeth and claws and
won't let go until you pry me off. Sometimes Poppy will get
extremely hyper and run around clawing at furniture, jumping on
top of it, and running from object to object. Other times at
night she will either pounce and tackle the moving objects at
the end of the bed or walk over and claw a beloved stuffed
animal. Poppy also knows who is allergic to her and whenever
that kind of person arrives to the house she follows them around
and cuddles up with them.
