What makes Pepper Joe so mean?

Anyone daring to touch him that isn't "his human". He's a paper shredding machine, he loves the shiny adds, and forget about leaving a magazine out. It's TOAST! He loves life and making sure he's number one in the house. It shouldn't be any other way!
