What makes Opie so mean?

My cat, Opie, is about 11 years old. He's an orange tabby and literally loves to beat up on all the neighbor's cats. We live next to a field, and at one point last month, he had devoured about 35 mice, rats, birds, moles, snakes, lizards, wild rabbits, etc. He's a machine. All muscle.

By the way, when he comes inside, he's great with the kids. Very patient. But he does beat up my other cat sometimes. He's just a brute. We used to nickname him 'Mike Tyson' kitty. Tell me if you've ever seen a more intimidating picture of a cat.
