What makes Linus so mean?

I have two cats, Linus and Monster. Monster (the big one) is 7, and Linus (the little one) is 1. Linus is the mean one of the two.

Monster will be minding his own business, snoozing on the bed, and Linus will come up and start biting him. Monster, being somewhat of a nancy boy, will usually run away and Linus will take Monster's spot on the bed. The picture I am sending is the rare occasion when Monster actually fights back.
