What makes Jinx so mean?

This is my mean kitty, Jinx (a.k.a. Stinky).  I think he is the master of all meankitties!  First of all, he earned both of his names.  He refuses to use a litter box, so I spend most of my time cleaning up after him.  Coaxing, beatings, different litters...nothing works.  I have just decided to live with it since I seem to have no choice.

He also thinks that ankle biting is an Olympic sport!  The first thing he does when someone enters the house is bite them on the ankle for daring to walk past him.  He has a tendency to walk in front of you just so he can bite you if you don't pick him up.

Approximately 6 months ago he attacked my mother while she was visiting.  She was petting him and suddenly he decided to go feral on her.  He left her with 7 tooth wounds and two bloody scratches up her arm.  He made my mommy cry.
