Here is Gia, my sister's cat, named after the famed bad-girl supermodel. Gia comes with an anecdotal story including this site's namesake. One morning, when I was getting ready for work, I could hear my sister cooing to Gia in the next room: "Oooo, Geee-ah, who's my lady friend? Who's my girl? ... etc., etc." Less than one minute had passed when I heard: "You're a mean kitty! A mean, mean kitty!"

On other occasions, we arrived home to find Gia's favorite toy, a pink caterpillar-like thing named Pinks, placed vertically, with head-end submerged, in Gia's waterbowl. When Gia's not executing mob hits on Pinks or swatting her mommy, she reigns supreme from the master bed, poised precisely between two pillows, where she conducts the family business of hating on my two cats, who've been virtually disowned since her highness became boss.
