This is my boy Caspar. He is the only boy in a female
household so he thinks (Knows!) he's the king of this castle. I
first saw Caspar 9 years ago in a cage all by himself in a pet
shop. I thought he looked so lonely away from all the other
kittens (Turns out it is because he beats up other cats!). He
was very long and skinny and had ears like a bat. The shop owner
said he was half Abyssinian and a bit of a handful but I was 11
years old and was determined to have him.
My mother got him for me that day and he became my truest
friend and worst nightmare all rolled into one. Caspar demands
attention at all times of the day. If I'm ignoring his high
pitched yowling at my door he goes in to the bathroom and sits
behind the toilet and cries because it echoes his voice and
makes him twice as loud. He pees on a lot of things in the house
including my older brother once.
If I ignore Caspar's yowling for too long he disappears
outside and comes back to my shut door with either a spider,
centipede, or moth (Knowing I hate insects!) and puts them under
the gap on my door.
He is also the world's worst feline hunter, he comes in the
house crying for praise with plastic bags, bits of rubbish, pegs
(so many pegs!), children's toys, lids, etc but has never once
caught a bird.
Caspar is a big, big cat but thinks he should still be
allowed to ride on my back. He has very sharp claws and always
uses them when I'm giving him a treat. Caspar has to have food
24/7 and if I don't pretend to eat some first it's not good
enough for him. He steals food off my fork as I lift it to my
mouth. He throws himself on the floor and rolls around to get
attention. If I try to get him out of my room he becomes a dead
weight and is so floppy I can't lift hi. He drags himself round
by his claws lying on his side so he doesn't have to walk and I
swear the list goes on and on.
